Linetype can be set as an object property or controlled when plotted by using a plot style. Linetype settings in the plot style override the object's linetype at plot time.When you select the Linetype field in the Plot Style Table Editor, a list with a sample and a description of each linetype are displayed. The default setting for plot style linetype is Use Object Linetype.Whether you choose to assign a linetype as a property of the object or as a plot style, you can set the Adaptive Adjustment option.
This option adjusts the scale of the linetype to complete the linetype pattern. If you don't select Adaptive Adjustment, the line might end in the middle of a pattern. Turn off Adaptive Adjustment if linetype scale is important.
Turn on Adaptive Adjustment if complete linetype patterns are more important than correct linetype scaling. Click Application menu Print Manage Plot Styles.
Find. Double-click the plot style table that you want to modify. In the Plot Style Table Editor, Form View tab, select the plot style you want to change. Click the Linetype arrow and select a linetype from the list. To specify that the object's linetype should be used, select Use Object Linetype. To adjust the linetype scale to show the complete pattern, on the Form View tab, select On in the Adaptive box.
Click Save & Close.You can edit properties for multiple plot styles while in the Plot Style Table Editor.

Jan 7, 2014I can't figure out how to reverse the flow direction on my pipe so I was going to just redraw it but after I delete a pipe and rt click to edit network the 'add pipes and stuctures' won't let me add anything. I'm just guessing I need to reverse the flow direction because my invert out and invert in elevations are backwards in the profile. I'm working in Civil3D 2012.
Sep 24, 2012I drew in a water line that had an arc in it, the 'W' symbol in the line (or arc rather) is upside down. The line is continuous with a break around the text. In a straight line the linetype works fine (breaks around the text etc). However, when I use a polyline and spline the line for a curved line the text aligns with the direction of the line at the start, but when the line bends, the text suddenly changes direction and reads in the opposite direction. It looks like AutoCAD is trying to keep the text upright rather than following the direction of the line.
When the text changes direction it also changes its insertion point and overlaps the continuous part of the line. This command unlocked All points in the drawing so I could edit them.Now that I am done with my edits, how do I reverse this command globally, so as to get ALL points locked again (so they snap back to their original position like a rubber band if moved, like before)?
